Holy Week Devotional – Silent Saturday

April 11, 2009No Comments

The week immediately preceding Resurrection Sunday is often called Holy Week.  During this week various observances and services of worship are used by many Christian churches to commemorate and enact the suffering and death of Jesus.

We are providing a guide to help you prepare for the greatest day in human history-Resurrection Sunday.  The primary objective of this guide is to help you focus specifically on the events of the last week of Jesus’ life.

Spend part of the day in quiet meditation as you contemplate the darkness of a world without a future and without hope apart from God and his grace.

Also, take time to remember family and the faithful who have died in Christ as we await the resurrection.

Finally, give thanks for the martyrs who have given their lives for the cause of Christ in the world.
