CrossPoint’s second annual Men’s Weekend Retreat is finally here. We’ve been planning, praying and preparing for this event for several months. As of today, we have sold 380 tickets. We estimate the final number to exceed 400. And as an act of faith, we have ordered enough food to feed 450 men!
Because of the last minute demand we are extending our ticket sales through today. If you would like to attend, please call the CrossPoint office at 205-655-0364.
In addition to the ticket sales, Bryan Haskins, our Worship Leader tells me the worship will be over the top. He met with the worship leaders from some of our sponsor churches, and the rehearsal was a worship experience in and of itself. These talented men will be leading us to sing more than 40 praise and worship songs throughout the weekend.
Please pray for the men who will be attending. Pray for Bryan Haskins and the Sponsor Church Worship Leaders. Pray also for our guest speaker, R. Kent Hughes. Pray for him to follow the Spirit’s leadership. Pray for his physical strength since he will be preaching seven times in less than 48 hours. He will be a tired man by lunchtime on Sunday. And for those who are interested, Dr. Hughes will be our guest Sunday at CrossPoint. Worship times are 8:15, 9:30 & 10:45 AM.
Get ready, men. This is going to be a life-changing event.
…praying for Mr. Hughes, the entire retreat leadership, for those of us attending, for God’s presence and His will to prevail that we may all be inspired, encouraged, equiped and committed to being men of God by the end of the weekend! I am so thrilled to be attending this weekend with some wonderful men who I get to call brothers and friends! I am praying that we all Renew or life in Christ every morning of our lives.
