Matt Crosby is the son of David and Kim Crosby. Matt’s family has been a faithful CrossPoint family for a long time. Matt is also a member of CrossPoint’s Boy Scout Troop #845.
At the beginning of the year Matt participated in CrossPoint’s Habitat Project in the Wylam Oaks neighborhood. CrossPoint constructed two new Habitat houses during the 40 days of Lent. While working on the house, Matt landed an idea for his Eagle Scout Project. Matt noticed the children in the new neighborhood had nowhere to play. Since there was common land available in the neighborhood, Matt wanted to construct a playground for the kids.
A project of this magnitude takes a lot of time, effort and money. And that is when Matt learned of Pepsi’s Refresh Project where people submit ideas for community service in order to receive a grant to complete their project. Only the top ten ideas will get enough votes to receive a grant worth $50,000. As of today, Matt is now in 182nd place. Voting ends on Wednesday. I am asking everyone who reads the JUST ONE MORE blog to take time vote for Matt. You may learn more about his project here and cast your vote.
Remember, please vote before Wednesday. Let’s put Matt in the top 10! We will keep you apprised of his progress.
Soli Deo Gloria, Matt. We are proud of you.
