If your pastor was transparent with you, he would tell you that one of his biggest concerns is the inconsistency of so many of his people. If you asked him to be forthright about the two or three things that burden him, he would tell you one of them is the way some of you treat the church with such flippancy.
There is something just wrong with people who are in and out of the church so infrequently. There is something seriously flawed with them. They are either not saved or they are living in complete rebellion and disobedience.
Someone once said, “If some people were as faithful to work or school as they are to church, they would be fired or expelled immediately.”
I agree. God deserves more, much more.
It is scary to think of the large numbers of people who are in the church, but are not in the family of God. Their name may be on the roll of the church, but their name is not written in the Book of Life.
If you are one of those people, and you happen to be reading today’s blog, I adjure you to fall on your face before God and repent. I beg you to plead for His mercy. You cannot say you love God and not love His church. You cannot say you have been delivered from the dominion of darkness and not fellowship, worship and serve consistently with those in the kingdom of light.

@Ryan_Whitley WOW great post. Much love brother hope all is well.
“Lord make our church a gospel-saturated people holding to a vision of godly obedience & pursuing that godliness with relentless plodding consistency.” This is Kevin DeYoung’s quote, my prayer for CrossPoint and for the Church.
I am glad you apprecited the blog, Bozeman. We are in the middle of our annual emphasis to RENEW our covenant with CrossPoint. That blog is in response to what I learn each year. THanks for your response.
Good word, CW! Gospel saturation is our goal.
